CONSCIENTIOUS APPROACH We’re a wee bit obsessive at Friendly, and putting ethics before profits underpins everything here. That’s why our products aren’t just vegan, or cruelty-free, or made by people paid a living wage, without using plastic, preservatives or sulfates. They’re all of these things! Sure, we could make more money doing things less ethically, but all we ever really wanted to make was a difference.

POWERED BY HANDS  For soaps this ethical we use a cold-process method handed down through generations of makers. It creates no by-products and relies on old-fashioned elbow grease, with every bar poured, cut and packed by hand, right here in Yorkshire. The soap is biodegradable too, so it’s better for the planet even once you’ve used it. Our recycled and recyclable packaging is just us being sticklers.

Our Aloe Vera Soap bar is fragrance free, containing only the gentlest ingredients and no colourants. Aloe vera has long been praised for its use in skin care, as the medicinal plant has been traditionally used to improve the integrity of the skin. It is anti-inflammatory, skin protecting, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, antiseptic, and has wound healing properties, too. 

This aloe vera soap is pure and fragrance free, perfect for even the most delicate of skin. It is cooling and soothing, and also features shea butter for extra moisture. Our aloe vera soap is ideal for those who want natural simplicity from their skincare routine.

Sodium cocoate, Sodium olivate, Aqua, Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice powder

HOW TO USE

• Be sure to store your products in a cool dry environment.
• To extend the lifespan of your bars even further, allow them to dry in between uses. We recommend a soap saver or soap rack to help with this.

• If contact with eyes occurs, rinse with water immediately.

MEET FRIENDLY SOAP

Geoff Kerouac and Rob Costello are the founders and co-owners of Friendly Soap, an ethical manufacturer of vegan soap, shampoo and shaving bars. After working together for years at a well renowned whole foods co-operative, the two close friends decided to start their own soap company in 2008.

Today, they take a very hands-on approach to running the business, and they employ around 22 people in a variety of roles, including manufacturing all of the company’s products at their idyllic base, Topland Country Business Park in Mytholmroyd.
