Once the bristles are all used up, the true sustainability of a bamboo or wooden toothbrush is that the handle can be composted! There are two ways to dispose of your sustainable toothbrush, either remove the bristles with pliers, or you can simply saw off the head with the bristles, throw that in the general waste bin and compost the handle.

We stock a lovely range of both bamboo and beechwood toothbrushes for kids, they are smaller and specifically designed to help little ones with their brushing routine while also adding some lovely colour and fun. If your toddler tends to bite on the bristles, we recommend caution as the bristles don't have any chemical glue and although very secure, they are not designed for strong biting on them as they could detach.
