ENRICH YOUR TEA: Over time the flavours of your tea will absorb into the cup enhancing the aroma over time.

A PLEASURE TO DRINK FROM: Drinking from a warm wooden cup, with your hands wrapped around, is probably one of the nicest feelings. In the back of your mind you know this has been handmade with care.

ADD STYLE TO YOUR DAY: The brown, natural, wooden colour really adds a splash of style to your favourite brew.

This Japanese- style wood cup is a handcrafted and eco-friendly addition to your eco-friendly kitchen.

It’s inspired by the ancient tradition of tea making in Japan, where beautifully scented loose tea leaves are slowly and carefully brewed in small wooden cups.

After a long day, just sit on your favourite chair sipping tea from one of these handmade cups, nothing will beat this moment of relax!

  • The wood works as natural insulator so these are perfect for drinking hot tea and coffee.
  • We recommend using loose tea leaves for an authentic plastic-free afternoon tea with family or friends!
  • Made of wood, compostable and durable
  • Size: 8cm x 6cm
  • Weight: 100g

This handmade cup is made of natural lacquered wood.

It is highly durable and at the end of life it is fully compostable.

  • Use it as a normal cup but after use, rinse with running water and dry wipe.
  • Do not wash it in a dishwasher.
  • Do not put it in a microwave.
  • Do not rub the surface of the bowl with scrubbing cloths, as they may scratch the wood.
  • Clean dry it using a soft napkin or cotton cloth.

First off, thank you for visiting our website! We starting our own journey as a zero-waste family with a clear goal in mind to make meaningful changes in our habits and lifestyle; our mantra has always been “have less impact on the planet, create less waste, and become better, more sustainable consumers”.

In our quest to swap plastic or disposable products with durable, plastic-free and less wasteful alternatives, we found there were companies we fell we could trust completely. These companies are now part of the EarthBits family and we are very proud to collaborate with them and showcase their products on this site!

On the other hand, we also found there were a lot of other products that were advertised as “eco-friendly”, but didn’t seem to us as sustainable or ethical as we wanted them to be. With that in mind, we decided to launch our own brand of products, sourced from small, often family-run suppliers we can fully trust.

All our products have a story to tell, and they have been made with our beautiful Earth in mind! I hope you will love them as much as we do!

Ask a Question
  • Hi, looking at your Japanese style wooden tea cup - is it also suitable for tea/coffee with milk? Dairy or otherwise? Love the few things I bought from you in the past. :-) Also, a totally different question - I'm thinking of submitting some blank card designs to some card companies and noticed your cards, my designs would fit in so well with your ethos, and I like the idea of selling in an eco friendly way. Do you pay freelance artists for their card designs, or how does it work? Off for my booster jab now, look forward to hearing from you, kind regards, Gisela x

Hi Gisela, yes the cups can also be used for coffeee/tea with milk. We recommend using only water to wash them. Can you write to us at service@earthbits.com with some of your portfolio? Thanks!
